‘I think there’s a deep racism in the way Africa is portrayed in general. It’s covered as a country in the news, not a continent. When something goes on in Somalia it’s like “Oh that’s just Somalia, it’s famine in Africa. We saw the starving Ethiopian babies, we know that story already.” ‘
